LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — $10 million has been awarded to 75 faculty districts and public colleges throughout Michigan to combine FAFSA completion into their highschool commencement necessities, the Michigan Division of Lifelong Schooling, Development, and Potential (MiLEAP) introduced Monday.

The funds got as a part of the Common Free Software for Federal Scholar Help (FAFSA) Problem, an initiative designed to extend FAFSA completion charges amongst graduating seniors within the state, join them with extra monetary support, and improve faculty and profession coaching enrollment.

Collaborating districts will use the funds to combine FAFSA completion into their highschool commencement necessities with a simple opt-out provision for qualifying college students.

Finishing the FAFSA is step one for college kids to entry state and federal scholarships and loans. MiLEAP organizers hope that by growing FAFSA completion charges, greater training will turn into extra inexpensive within the state.
