Irish police are investigating the presence of drones throughout Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s go to to Eire.
Mr Zelenskyy and his spouse Olena Zelenska arrived in Dublin late on Monday night time, with native media reporting that a number of unidentified drones have been seen flying over the Irish Sea, at across the time the Ukrainian president arrived at Dublin Airport.
Eire’s police service mentioned: “A Garda Siochana’s Special Detective Unit (SDU) is investigating this matter.
“As a part of this, SDU can be liaising with the defence forces and worldwide safety companions.”
Mr Zelenskyy was in Eire to satisfy with authorities figures, Catherine Connolly, the brand new Irish president, and to deal with a joint sitting of the Oireachtas (Eire’s parliament).
Russian ambassador to Eire Yuriy Filatov mentioned it was “hard to make sense of the visit” past it representing “the ever-present desire of the Irish government to show loyalty to the EU anti-Russian policy line on Ukraine”.

Mr Martin dismissed the ambassador’s feedback and mentioned Mr Filatov had a “track record” of attacking him and the federal government “on a consistent basis”.
