Michigan minimal wage to rise twice subsequent 12 months

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The minimal wage in Michigan will enhance twice in 2025—the primary being a usually scheduled enhance, and the second being in accordance with a latest Michigan Supreme Courtroom ruling.

On Jan. 1, 2025, the minimal hourly wage will enhance from $10.33 per hour to $10.56 per hour. Which means that the 85% price for minors will enhance from $8.78 per hour to $8.96 per hour. The tipped worker price will enhance from $3.93 per hour to $4.01 per hour.

On Feb. 21, 2025, although, these wages will rise once more.

The minimal hourly wage will enhance to $12.48 per hour, with the 85% pay for minors being elevated to $10.61. The tipped minimal wage will enhance to $5.99 per hour.

The coaching wage of $4.25 per hour for newly employed staff below the age of 20 for his or her first 90 days of employment will stay unchanged.
