Eaton County officers clarify complicated poll proposal

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) Eaton County officers say public companies like street patrols may very well be minimize if an upcoming millage referred to as the “Separate Tax Limitation Proposal” shouldn’t be handed. 

The issue? The proposal on the poll is complicated.

Eaton County Communications Director Logan Bailey says the county is doing its finest to teach individuals.

Eaton County Prosecuting Legal professional Douglas Lloyd, who hopes the proposal passes, says not voting “yes” will include a value.

“Public safety, which is the sheriff, the prosecutor and the courts, they make up 65% of the budget, we have over half of the staff here in Eaton County, so obviously the thing that’s going to be affected first is going to be public safety…” stated Lloyd.

Lloyd says his workplace will not be capable to prioritize as many circumstances as they do now if the millage fails. He hopes individuals assume it is value it in the long term.
