Second DTE impersonation homicide suspect arrested

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The second man accused of impersonating a DTE employee and murdering a person inside his Rochester Hills dwelling has been arrested, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Division introduced Monday.

The person, whose identify has not been publicly launched, was arrested at round 1:40 p.m. Monday in Plymouth Township after a site visitors cease. Police say he didn’t resist arrest.

Police haven’t offered data on the unnamed man’s potential prices. Nonetheless, the person is accused of collaborating with Carlos Jose Hernandez, 37, in impersonating DTE staff to achieve entry to what police name an “upscale home” within the 3700 block of Newcastle Drive and murdering one of many occupants, 72-year-old Hussein Murray.

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Division stories that Hernandez was taken into custody on Saturday, Oct. 12. in Shreveport, Louisiana. and charged with homicide and two counts of illegal imprisonment. He was arrested on an unspecified warrant out of Ohio and a warrant out of Oakland County for this incident.

Hernandez will seem in a Louisiana courtroom to start extradition to Oakland County for his arraignment.

The investigation is ongoing.
