Labour Get together suspends MP Mike Amesbury after video confirmed him punching man in road

Mike Amesbury has been suspended by the Labour Get together after CCTV footage confirmed him punching a person on the street.

A Labour Get together spokesperson mentioned: “Mike Amesbury MP has been aiding Cheshire Police with their inquiries following an incident on Friday evening.

“As these inquiries are now ongoing, the Labour Party has administratively suspended Mr Amesbury’s membership of the Labour Party pending an investigation.”

“I will not be making further public comment but will, of course, cooperate with any inquiries if required by Cheshire Police,” he added.
