Lansing man killed in Shiawassee County crash

Lansing man killed in Shiawassee County crash

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A sequence of crashes in Shiawassee County resulted in a 19-year-old man from Lansing being killed. This incident occurred alongside M-21 between Owosso and Corunna close to the airport final Friday night time.

Michigan State Police say the 19-year-old driver of a Chevy Impala was turning onto M-21 when he was hit by a Jeep. The influence to the driving force’s facet of the Impala threw the person out of the automobile onto the freeway. Police say he was not carrying a seatbelt.

Then, a 65-year-old driver from Ovid in a Chevy Silverado truck hit the 19-year-old man who was mendacity on the pavement. The influence of this killed the person, police say.

Police say the Silverado driver saved driving for a number of miles earlier than being pulled over, arrested, and brought into custody. At present, police will not be saying what expenses the truck driver would possibly face.

Police didn’t launch the names of any of the individuals concerned on this incident.

NOTE: This story has been up to date to replicate the person’s age who was killed was 19.
