LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A Michigan State Police trooper was injured in a crash involving a pick-up truck early Saturday morning in Jackson.
Michigan State Police (MSP) stories that the crash occurred on the intersection of Michigan Ave. and Van Dorn St. at roughly 1:30 a.m.
Two troopers have been on patrol, touring down Michigan Ave., when a pick-up truck disregarded the cease signal on Van Dorn St. A 66-year-old man from Spring Arbor was the driving the truck.
The truck struck the passenger aspect of the patrol automobile, injuring one of many officers inside. This officer, who was not named, was taken to Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson for minor accidents and has since been launched.
The opposite officer and the driving force of the truck weren’t injured within the crash.
MSP stories that alcohol seems to be an element within the crash.
The crash remains to be below investigation.
