Fired Holy Cross CEO releases dismissal letter, assertion

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Ryan Kunzelman, the fired CEO and President of Holy Cross Companies, has launched the letter informing him of his termination.

Kunzelman was fired Friday throughout a particular board assembly on the company’s New Hope Middle in Lansing. New Hope is the world’s largest homeless shelter and is run by the group. The letter doesn’t clarify Kunzelman’s termination, and he says he was not supplied with any clarification for his termination.

Michigan is an at-will employment state. Which means an employer can hearth an worker with out a proof.

Nevertheless, the transfer comes only a week after he and workers on the company pushed again in opposition to a board directive they felt required them to discriminate in opposition to members of the LGBTQIA group. The company says the directive doesn’t require discrimination and is protected by the company’s faith-based mission.

“I’m at peace with the situation and whatever decision was made. Every day when I come to work, my focus is on the people who we serve. They won’t be able to have a warm meal,” stated Kunzelman. “Children won’t be placed in homes that are loving and caring, so that’s what is at stake here today.”

In a textual content message late Friday afternoon he added to his assertion.

“I am at peace with the decisions I have made to defend all in our community because I am following my strongly held religious beliefs,” he wrote.

Friday afternoon workers have been knowledgeable that former Chief Govt Officer Sharon Berkobien would function interim president of the group. Steve Adamcyzk, chief infrastructure and compliance officer, will function the interim Chief Govt Officer.
