Hit-and-run crash leaves one man lifeless in Jackson County

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS ) — Jackson County Sheriff’s Workplace is investigating a lethal hit-and-run incident that took the lifetime of a 27-year-old man from Jackson.

Deputies discovered Brent Walker on Saturday at South Avenue and Helena Avenue in Summit Township round 3:50 a.m.

Deputies say the paramedics unit in Jackson decided Walker was lifeless from accidents associated to being hit by a automobile upon arrival on the scene.

“He was just always that goofy soul that just always brought light to any situation man, it didn’t matter how bad, or what was going on,” stated Tyler Hendrick, Brent Walker’s cousin. Including, “Whoever did it just needs to come forward or if somebody knows something. Brent needs justice, he didn’t deserve to go out like that.”

“It can be time-consuming because there’s a lot of pieces to the puzzle we have to put together,” stated Christopher Simpson an Undersheriff on the Jackson County Sheriff’s Workplace.

Investigators imagine the suspect’s automobile is a charcoal grey or black with minimal front-end harm.

Sheriff Grey Schuette urges anybody with info to name Detective Bryan Huttenlocker at 517-768-7931.
