JACKSON Mich. (WLNS) – Who does not love a superb Thanksgiving meal? On Wednesday, a number of Jackson eating places received collectively to present the group simply that.

Proprietor of Child Bear Burger, Marshawn, stated the day began with delivering meals.

“One of the stops was to the Interfaith shelter and to the Aware shelter. we wanted to spread that holiday cheer,” Marshawn stated.

After that, folks headed to the Grand River Brewery to get their meals. It was actually a group effort, Mallory Vredeveld, proprietor of The 5 Forks, stated there have been a number of totally different stations arrange round city to get this completed.

“All the different restaurants culminated in bringing all the food from their establishments to veritas to make sure we could put everything together. We had our first group of volunteers taking everything from a catering pan and putting them into individual servings. And then we got all of the food over here to have a nice easy drive through so folks can pick up,” Vredeveld stated.

It was no small feat to cook dinner all the meals, Vredeveld stated it took her and her employees three days to bake all the deserts. It took Harmon all evening as properly.

“We cooked throughout the night last night and have been running on no sleep all afternoon,” Harmon stated.

“I think it’s awesome, the community that we have who supports small businesses, and this is one way that we can give back that support,” Vredeveld stated.
