Driver arrested after 10-year-old hit, killed in crash close to Sturgis

SHERMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities say a driver was arrested after he hit and killed a 10-year-old baby in St. Joseph County.

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned it acquired a report on Monday of a automotive hitting a number of school-aged youngsters close to the intersection of Banker Avenue and Balk Street in Sherman Township, northwest of Sturgis.

When deputies arrived, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned they found a 29-year-old Vicksburg man was heading westbound on Banker when he hit one of many youngsters. The ten-year-old baby was pronounced useless on the scene.

The driving force was arrested and brought into custody on felony costs. He’s anticipated to be arraigned on Tuesday. His identify has not been launched.
