Assault, illegal imprisonment arrests in Eaton Rapids

Assault, illegal imprisonment arrests in Eaton Rapids

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Eaton Rapids law enforcement officials responded to an emergency name shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday that man had been handcuffed and assaulted.

Eaton Rapids Police Chief Larry Joe Weeks tells 6 Information that officers responded to the 900 block of Raeburn St. in Eaton Rapids shortly after 4:06 a.m. Deputies from the Ingham County Sheriff’s Division and troopers from the Michigan State Police assisted the officers.

Officers tried to contact people contained in the property a number of instances, however after they acquired no response, officers entered the house. Weeks says in a information launch posted to the division’s Fb web page, the officers made the choice as a result of that they had “grave concern” for the security of people within the dwelling.
