Former NCAA quarterback Tommy Lazzaro dies in 'tragic' accident at US Air Power base

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Tommy Lazzaro, an Military sergeant and former quarterback for the Central Michigan Chippewas, has died following an accident at Eglin Air Power Base in Florida. He was 27.

Lazzaro performed 4 seasons in Mount Nice, beginning 5 video games as a junior in 2018 and enjoying in 13 video games as a senior. He was a part of the 2019 crew that went 8-6 and fell to Miami of Ohio within the Mid-American Convention championship sport.

After his soccer profession, Lazzaro enrolled within the U.S. Military the place he made the rank of sergeant. An obituary for Lazzaro additional specified that he served within the 2nd Battalion, seventh Particular Forces Group (Airborne).
