Horovitz named president of BHS’ property administration arm

Richard Horovitz has been promoted to president of Brown Harris Stevens Residential Administration, LLC, the New York-based agency’s residential property administration division, the corporate introduced on Monday.

As president, Horovitz will oversee the residential administration firm and a portfolio of co-ops and condos in Manhattan. Since 2022, Horovitz has served as the corporate’s senior vp and director.

“Richard’s depth of experience both at Brown Harris Stevens and in the greater hospitality industry makes him a natural fit for the role of president,” stated Chief Working Officer Alan J. Kersner. “His dedication to customer service and strong business acumen will help grow our division while continuing exceptional service for our existing clients.”

Horovitz joined Brown Harris Stevens in 2016, and previous to that, gained in depth expertise in operational and repair administration roles at varied lodge teams, together with Starwood Accommodations & Resorts and Morgans Lodge Group. He holds a level in Lodge, Restaurant and Enterprise Administration from Purdue College.

“I am grateful to take on this new endeavor at Brown Harris Stevens where I have spent the past decade working for Brown Harris Stevens’ premier residential management company,” Horovitz stated in a press release. “I look forward to continuing the company’s 150-year legacy of excellence for many years to come.”

Previous to Horovitz taking up the function of president, Paul J. Herman served within the function. Herman will now serve in a guide capability as chief technique officer.

Brown Harris Stevens Residential Administration, LLC manages a portfolio of over 11,000 items in Manhattan condo buildings. The property administration firm oversees renovations, exterior development, mechanical programs, elevator upgrades and extra with detailed data of all relevant rules.
