MSU celebrates MLK Day with symbolic march

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State College, the MSU Divine 9 Nationwide Pan-Hellenic Council, and the MLK Pupil Committee hosted its MLK Commemorative March on the Multicultural Heart.

The occasion started at 9 a.m. with a symbolic march within the fitness center, adopted by speeches from keynote audio system like Michigan State College President Kevin M. Guskiewicz.

The march began in entrance of the Beaumont Tower and ended on the Multicultural Heart.

Tammye Coles, director of the Workplace of Spartan Experiences says Martin Luther King Jr. Day is particular to her as a result of she ties the yr she was born to the numerous Civil Rights Act of 1964.
