Silveus stated her, 13-year-old son, Landen was recognized with a uncommon bone most cancers known as Osteosarcoma, again in December.

Johnson attends the identical faculty as Landen and DJ, and in hopes of supporting her classmates, she, and one other scholar determined to create a GoFundMe. 

Each college students encourage their classmates to put on yellow in solidarity for the boys, at their faculty’s basketball recreation this upcoming week. 

“We figured that’s a great way to rally the community. We’re going up against our league rival in the sense. We’re fighting for the number one spot,” Johnson said. “Everybody’s gonna be there already but let’s give them a true authentic reason to be there and rally. Not just for the basketball, but these boys.”

Richel jumped into motion too, making bracelets to assist elevate funds for the households. “We’ve a bracelet that claims Landen Robust and one that claims DJ Robust as effectively,” Richel stated. 

The basketball video games are scheduled from Jan. 27 by means of Jan. 31.
