A British-Israeli hostage held by Hamas for 15 months in Gaza has informed Sir Keir Starmer she was detained in a United Nations facility however denied medical therapy throughout her captivity.

Emily Damari, 28, was taken hostage after being kidnapped from her dwelling on 7 October 2023 by Hamas gunmen who shot her within the hand and leg, in addition to killing her pet canine.

Whereas on the telephone name together with her mom, Emily informed the prime minister she had been held for a while in United Nations amenities belonging to the United Nations Aid and Works Company (UNRWA) however was not given entry to medical amenities.

On the decision, the prime minister requested about Emily’s situation after her return.

“Claims that hostages have been held in UNRWA premises, even when beforehand vacated, are very critical.

Emily was launched on Sunday 19 January, alongside fellow feminine hostages Romi Gonen, 24, and 31-year-old Doron Steinbrecher, as a part of the opening section of a Gaza ceasefire deal, which has continued this month with extra captives being freed in return for Palestinian prisoners being launched.

Three extra hostages to be launched

An additional three Israeli hostages set to be launched on Saturday have been named by Hamas.

Israel and Hamas are exchanging hostages and prisoners as a fragile ceasefire holds in Gaza.

Ofer Kalderon, Keith Samuel Siegel and Yarden Bibas shall be launched, Hamas armed wing spokesperson Abu Obeida mentioned.

Yarden was kidnapped alongside his spouse, Shiri Babas, and their two sons, four-year-old Ariel and 10-month-old Kfir.

He’s believed to be the one member of the family left alive – in November 2023, Hamas mentioned his spouse and kids had died in an Israeli airstrike earlier than the present ceasefire.
