The physique of a British businessman who went lacking in Kenya greater than every week in the past was reportedly present in a sack of pineapples in a forest.

Campbell Scott, believed to be from Dunfermline in Fife, Scotland, was final seen attending a convention on the JW Marriot Lodge within the capital Nairobi on 16 February.

His physique was found in a sack of pineapples in a forest round 66 miles southeast of town on the weekend, in keeping with native media studies.

He mentioned: “(Mr Scott) appeared to have been tortured.

“Along with the bodily accidents, the killer(s) had tied his palms from the again, and stuffed the physique within the sack which had been full of ripe pineapples.”

CCTV footage reportedly captured him leaving the resort with a person wearing a white T-shirt and blue denims earlier than they obtained in a taxi on the day he was final seen.

The taxi driver and a waiter from the membership have been arrested by police investigating the loss of life, in keeping with native media.

Mr Scott labored as a senior director at credit score scoring agency Fico and was reportedly on a enterprise journey when he disappeared.

His employer mentioned police have recognized a physique and are investigating.

A spokesperson mentioned: “Fico can confirm that Nairobi police have identified the body of Campbell Scott, a Fico employee.

“Campbell went lacking final Sunday whereas on a enterprise journey to Nairobi. We’re not sharing additional particulars because the investigation is within the palms of the police.

“He joined Fico in 2014 and was instrumental in introducing Scores to new markets and growing our business with existing partnerships.

“We mourn his passing and can miss his humour and kindness.

“Our thoughts are with Campbell’s family and friends.”

A Overseas Workplace spokesperson mentioned: “We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Kenya and are in contact with the local authorities.”

Kenya’s Nationwide Police Service has been contacted for remark.
