Jose Mourinho hits again after being accused of racism – ‘they did not know my connections with Africa’

Jose Mourinho has dismissed claims he made racist feedback – saying his accusers “didn’t know my connections with Africa”.

The remark appeared to refer to go coach Okan Buruk, who Mourinho claimed was attempting to get a Fenerbahce defender despatched off early within the sport.

“They didn’t know my connections with Africa, with African people and African players and African charities.

“So as a substitute of going in opposition to me, I feel it boomeranged and went in opposition to them.”

When requested if he regretted the language used, Mourinho mentioned: “Sometimes I do, and I ask myself, ‘Why did you do it Jose? Why did you drop to that level?'”
