LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Plan on altering your commute as main development on US-127 will trigger ramp closures and result in detours.
Starting on March 18, MDOT experiences that each instructions of US-127 site visitors from I-96 to I-496 shall be shifted to the northbound aspect of the freeway, with northbound and southbound site visitors separated by a concrete barrier.
The next ramps shall be closed and detoured from March 18 till mid-June:
Westbound I-96 to southbound US-127
Southbound US-127 to westbound I-96
Southbound US-127 to eastbound I-96
Dunckel Street to southbound US-127
The next ramps shall be closed from March 18 till mid-November:

The 6200 block of East Lake Drive will even be closed for a further 6 to 9 weeks to interchange a further sanitary principal.
MDOT experiences that rebuilding and enhancing this section of US-127/I-496 will deal with security issues, enhance roadway geometrics, and enhance vehicular motion.
