Michigan’s tenth district consultant introduced his run for workplace in an X publish made on April 7:

Expensive Michigan Household,

I’m working for Governor of the nice state of Michigan.

This choice comes after deep reflection, prayer, and conversations with my spouse and kids. We’ll have the rallies and the balloons quickly—however first, I need to share precisely why I’m doing this.

Our state has suffered lengthy sufficient. Michigan is robust. Our individuals are sturdy. However we’re being held again by an absence of sturdy, competent management—management with real-world expertise within the areas Michiganders want most.

For the previous seven years, Michigan has been dominated by radical, out-of-touch insurance policies which have harm our households, our communities, and our financial system. We’ve misplaced over 300,000 manufacturing jobs since NAFTA—almost a 3rd of our industrial base. That’s unacceptable.

I’ve run a Michigan automotive enterprise that created jobs. I’ve worn the uniform of the US in fight. I don’t go away individuals behind—and I gained’t begin now.

It’s time to get Michigan’s authorities out of fantasyland and again to frequent sense. President Trump and I’ve been in one another’s nook by means of thick and skinny for eight years—no purpose that can finish now. He’s doing his half to Make America Nice Once more, and I’ll do mine to carry prosperity and sanity again to Michigan.

This gained’t be simple. However I imagine in you. I imagine in Michigan. And I imagine that collectively, we will lead a comeback that begins with you!

Let’s fly

John

John James, X publish

James will be a part of Michigan Senate Republican Chief Aric Nesbitt and Anthony Hudson in in search of the MI GOP nomination.

Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson, and Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II may also be working for workplace, declaring as Democrats.

Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan will likely be working as an Unbiased.
