Soybean paste recalled for undeclared allergen

Soybean paste recalled for undeclared allergen

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A New York-based firm is recalling some packages of its Beijing Soybean Paste as a result of they might comprise undeclared wheat, a serious allergen.

Might Flower Worldwide Inc. is particularly recalling its 8.82-ounce packages of the soybean paste. The label on the recalled packages reads “For Fu Xiang Yuan Trading Inc New York City NY 11378.”

These merchandise have been distributed nationwide between March 25, 2023, and March 5, 2024, however soybean paste is a fermented product with a protracted shelf life. The recall was initiated after the FDA performed a routine inspection and found that the product declared flour as an ingredient, however wheat was undeclared.

No sicknesses or allergic reactions involving this product have been reported but. The FDA is encouraging customers who’ve bought this product to return it to the place of buy for a full refund.
