Livingston County crash kills 16-year-old, injures 2 teenagers

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Police in Livingston County have confirmed a crash killed a 16-year-old and injured a 16 and an 18-year-old Tuesday evening.

Inexperienced Oak Constitution Township Police report that the single-vehicle crash occurred close to Whitmore Lake south of Brighton round 10:30.

Police say the 18-year-old was driving on Whitmore Lake Rd close to M-36 and rolled the SUV — a Mercury Montego — resulting in a 16-year-old within the again seat being ejected, resulting in their loss of life.

The motive force and the 16-year-old passenger have been additionally injured within the crash and brought to a hospital to be handled.

Police are usually not releasing the identities of the three teenagers concerned. Police additionally say blood was drawn from the motive force and toxicology outcomes are pending, however added “that alcohol and/or drugs may have been a factor in the crash.”
