LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Michigan Lawyer Basic Dana Nessel urges northern Michigan residents to be careful for value gouging and misleading enterprise practices amid the latest ice storm.

Nessel notes that some corporations may exploit the emergency by inflating costs or participating in unfair enterprise practices.

“Bad actors often see emergencies as an opportunity to take advantage of people in need,” Nessel stated in a information launch despatched to six Information. “We need residents to be our eyes and ears and report potential price gouging or deceptive business practices.
