LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — This week is Nationwide Police Week, and communities round Michigan have scheduled particular occasions to pay tribute to their regulation enforcement officers—together with the town of Leslie.
Organizers say it is necessary to let police know that they recognize the dangers they take to maintain communities protected.

“They always respond when we call, no matter how they feel, no matter what they’re doing. And we just felt it really important to celebrate them and give some love back to them,” says Invoice Whitbeck, one of many occasion’s coordinators. “And that’s why we decided to do this. We’re really looking forward to just really showing them our love and our thanks for what they do day in and day out to keep us safe.”
