LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Tuesday, state lawmakers from each side of the aisle got here collectively on the Breslin Heart for a Kids’s Belief Michigan fundraiser, a corporation devoted to stopping youngster abuse.
The occasion has been held yearly for greater than twenty years, and it is the largest fundraising occasion of the yr to assist stop youngster abuse in Michigan. Each member of the Michigan legislature was invited, and social gathering leaders from each the Home and Senate co-chaired the public sale.

Prevention is possible that we can prevent child abuse, neglect. It takes all of us. It takes us understanding that parents and families need support. And if we’re there for them and we get ahead of things, children don’t have to suffer.”
Among the objects up for public sale included a visit to Italy, dinner with superstars from Detroit sports activities groups, and a four-month-old Australian Shepherd named Cowboy.
