I’m so proud of him.”
“I was locating pretty well, and you know my slider was pretty filthy today, not going to lie,” Holt senior pitcher Mitchell DuBois stated. “It feels great, and first, I just want to thank God for allowing me to be out here today. It is such a great blessing to be out here with these teammates, and I am so grateful for that, so all glory to him. It is just an awesome feeling, going out there all seven innings after kind of not pitching all season. To be out there and represent the Holt Rams and have a great defense behind me, I just pitched like I knew I could.”
The Rams will now play Okemos on Thursday, Could twenty second at 5 pm.
The nightcap noticed Lansing Catholic take down the defending champions, DeWitt, 6-1. Cougars ace Drew Tolfree had his full arsenal on show, going 5 hitless innings and accumulating 12 strikeouts. The Cougars’ run assist got here within the high of the fourth, scoring 5 runs, then including a further run within the high of the seventh because of an Alex Fernandez RBI single. Fernandez was 3-for-4 with 3 hits and 1 RBI.
“Drew, he’s a workhorse man,” Lansing Catholic coach Dillon Reust stated. “We call him the Unicorn because he has an above 4.0 GPA, can throw strikes, and can hit the ball. He is justa great leader on and off the field. He’s special, and he’s going to do great things. This team really just rallies behind him like I’ve never seen before.”
“To be honest, I would say everything was working,” Lansing Catholic senior pitcher Drew Tolfree stated. I knew that I had a terrific group behind me to defend the ball when it was put in play, and I used to be simply assured on the mound. I felt wonderful on the market!”
