Two Israeli embassy employees shot lifeless close to Jewish museum in Washington DC

Two workers members working for the Israeli embassy in Washington DC have been shot lifeless.

The capturing occurred on Wednesday night close to the Capital Jewish Museum – steps away from an FBI workplace.

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, referred to as the assault “a depraved act of antisemitic terrorism”.

He wrote on X: “We are confident that the US authorities will take strong action against those responsible for this criminal act.”

Detectives are but to determine a possible motive for the capturing at this stage.

He was seen pacing forwards and backwards outdoors of the museum earlier than the assault – approaching a bunch of 4 individuals, producing a handgun, and firing the weapon.

The 2 individuals who died had been a younger couple engaged to be married.

Preliminary enquiries counsel the suspect is named Elias Rodriguez, a 30-year-old from Chicago.

Mayor Muriel Bowser mentioned: “There is no active threat in our community. What I do know is that this horrific incident is going to frighten a lot of people in our city and in our country.

“I wish to be clear that we’ll not tolerance this violence or hate in our metropolis.”
