LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Ingham County Animal Management and Shelter officers confirmed with 6 Information that two cats have been seized from 1500 S. Pennsylvania following a Might 20 raid by regulation enforcement.
Daniel Verhougstraete, deputy director of Ingham County Animal Management and Shelter, tells 6 Information officers from the division have been dispatched on Might 21 — the day after a raid by police associated to an on-going “narcotics” investigation.
Verhougstraete says Lansing Police and Code Compliance officers requested Animal Management’s participation after discovering six cats within the upstairs condominium of the property.

The cats have been thought to have been deserted when the property was red-tagged on Might 20 as a result of it had sewage within the basement from a backup. Lansing Police returned to the home on Might 21 as a result of folks had entered the second-floor condominium in violation of the crimson tag. Two folks have been seen in handcuffs and positioned behind Lansing Police Division police automobiles.
Verhoughstraete says a lady appeared on the condominium and claimed possession of 4 of the cats.
A 6 Information reporter on the scene noticed the girl leaving the house. As she walked down Baker St., two cats adopted her.

The 2 remaining cats have been unclaimed. The animal management official on scene took the cats into custody, and so they have been positioned on a 7-day stray maintain.
