Michigan State College Pavilion to be renamed

Michigan State College Pavilion to be renamed

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State College’s Faculty of Agriculture and Pure Sources (CANR) is renaming the MSU Pavilion to the Farm Bureau Pavilion at Michigan State College later immediately.

Occasion officers say the brand new title shall be unveiled throughout the Michigan Livestock Expo (MLE). The presentation is deliberate for immediately at 4 p.m.

The ceremony will happen within the courtyard close to the spectator entrance on the north aspect of the constructing.

In December 2024, MSU introduced a present settlement with the Michigan Farm Bureau Household of Firms. MSU says the reward will assist fund a deliberate renovation and growth of the constructing, enhancing the Farm Bureau Pavilion’s function as a hub for agricultural innovation, schooling, and group engagement.

The occasion official says annually, round 100,000 individuals go to the pavilion over roughly 250 days and producing about $7 million yearly for the native economic system.

The Dean & Affiliate Provost at CANR Matt Daum, the Director of MSU Extension Quentin Tyler, the Director of MSU AgBioResearch George Smith and the President of Michigan Farm Bureau Ben LaCross shall be in attendance.
