LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — An 18-year-old woman was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in Jackson, police say.

The Metropolis of Jackson Police Chief Christopher A. Simpsoon reviews that officers responded to the 1500 block of Carl Breeding Approach after receiving requires pictures fired at 12:45 p.m.
Officers arrived to seek out the 18-year-old woman, recognized as Mia Sims, in a car with a gunshot wound in her “neck area.”
She was transported to the Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, the place she later died from her accidents.
The Jackson Police Division, the Blackman Township Division of Public Security, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Workplace and the Michigan State Police Jackson Put up are persevering with the investigation.
Police didn’t say if any arrests have been made in reference to the taking pictures.
