China floods: Not less than 30 killed in Beijing and 80,000 evacuated

Not less than 30 folks have been killed and tens of 1000’s evacuated resulting from heavy rain and flooding in and round Beijing.

A press release from the Beijing metropolis authorities stated 28 folks had died in Miyun district and two had been killed in Yanqing district as of midnight on Monday.

It comes as studies on Monday stated 4 folks had been killed in a landslide in a rural a part of Luanping county in Beijing’s neighbouring Hebei province. Eight others have been lacking.

Additional heavy rainfall forecast

Extra heavy rain is predicted in Beijing on Tuesday, with rainfall of as much as 30cm (12 inches) forecast for some areas.

‘The flood got here dashing in’
