EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – College students pursuing social sciences at Michigan State College have a brand new alternative to attach with future employers.
College officers unveiled the brand new “Employer Advisory Board” Thursday on the Techsmith Headquarters in East Lansing. It is a partnership with native corporations and companies to show college students in regards to the office and helps them develop the abilities wanted to be prepared for a job proper after graduating. Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Brent Donnellan stated that the individuals concerned hope this program will maintain extra graduates in Mid-Michigan.

“We have opportunities in the college for all of our students to take experiential learning credit to do internships, so they just need to show up in our career services offices and we will connect them with the right place that fits with their major, and their passion and their interests,” stated Donnellan.
The organizations concerned in offering office expertise to college students embody the State of Michigan, Techsmith, Peckham and extra. The Board is co-chaired by Capital Space Michigan Works and the CEO, Carrie Rosingana stated she is worked up to see how this program will develop.

“It’s a win win for everybody,” Rosingana continued. “Our employers get to expand their workforce, our students get to get connected to those opportunities sooner than they would have previously.”
