MSU volleyball sweeps Chicago State to complete opening weekend 2-0

MSU volleyball sweeps Chicago State to complete opening weekend 2-0

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – The Michigan State volleyball group is out to a 2-0 begin to the season after sweeping Chicago State 25-12, 25-16, 25-18 on Sunday afternoon.

Taylah Holdem led the best way for MSU with 17 kills and Breccan Scheck added a team-high 4 blocks.

The win got here on the heels of Saturday’s season-opening sweep of Merrimack.

The wins are the primary for head coach Kristen Kelsay, who’s embarking on her first season main the Spartans after a decade as an assistant coach within the Huge Ten.

MSU returns to motion on Wednesday for its first street match of the season towards Evansville.
