'They don't make things better': Residents of Jackson cell residence park converse out on administration

JACKSON, Mich. (WLNS) — Residents of Cozy Properties Cellular Residence Park are talking out about what they name rising prices and points with repairs.

“I’ve never had a problem being in here. I pay my rent, and I do what we’re supposed to do,” mentioned resident Ronda Mosley.

(WLNS)

Mosley is a Jackson native and has lived on the cell park for 17 years. She says the neighborhood received a brand new supervisor six years in the past. Since then, she says, the residing circumstances for all properties — inside and outside — have solely gotten worse.

“If me and my children or my grandchildren are in my house, that tree falls and it kills us. What’s my house insurance got to do with you killing us because you don’t want to do your job because it’s taking money out of your pocket?” Mosley mentioned.

Stacy Chase has lived on the identical avenue as Mosley for the previous 5 years. She says administration has given her a number of write-ups about fixing components of her property that ought to really be the park’s duty.

“They leave the roads terrible. They don’t fix things. They expect us to fix things that we have nothing to do with. They leave trees hanging on mobile homes,” Chase mentioned.

Travis Wysocki says his household has owned the neighborhood for generations, and that administration welcomes everybody to the park. However he provides that they don’t seem to be liable for tenants’ private property or investments.

“If it’s something easy, say a senior citizen resident is having an issue, our maintenance staff doesn’t have an issue taking care of minor issues, but it is not our responsibility to protect their assets for them,” Wysocki mentioned.

Mosley says she is beginning a petition to advocate for higher repairs within the park’s older part, and that she can be going across the neighborhood this week to gather signatures.
