LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– ‘The Flame of Hope, ’ also called the Particular Olympics Torch, will work its means via Mid-Michigan tonight.
The Michigan Legislation Enforcement continues its “Flame of Hope Week” all in an effort to boost cash and consciousness for Particular Olympics athletes with a 750-mile relay that can tour Michigan.
Occasion officers say the Michigan Legislation Enforcement Torch Run is an endurance relay that can carry the Flame of Hope, a torch that represents braveness and inspiration that Particular Olympic Athletes will use to navigate day by day life in an effort to interrupt down long-standing social boundaries.
The purpose of the occasion is to boost cash and assist sports activities coaching and athletic competitors for youngsters and adults with mental disabilities.
Organizors of the occasion say it’s an effective way to carry legislation enforcement and native athletes collectively.
The tour began on Saturday, Sept. 6, and can proceed tonight.
