Michigan congressional candidate shares breast most cancers journey

Michigan congressional candidate shares breast most cancers journey

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Bridget Brink, former ambassador to Ukraine and congressional candidate for Michigan’s seventh district, revealed Friday that she was recognized with stage one breast most cancers over the summer time and underwent surgical procedure this week to have it eliminated.

Her marketing campaign stated the most cancers was eliminated efficiently and that she is not going to require chemotherapy. Brink is a Lansing Democrat working for a seat occupied by first-term U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett (R-Charlotte).

“I am so grateful it was detected early, that I have an amazing care team of doctors, and that the cancer has been removed,” Brink stated in an announcement posted to social media. “I want to thank my family, friends, and our community for such love, care, and support. I am recovering well and the experience only makes me more determined to continue this fight for our future – because we’ve got to make sure that everyone has access to good, affordable health care.”

Brink talked about that “as a candidate for public office,” she felt obligated to reveal the analysis. “My overall health is excellent and I’ve always made it a priority,” she stated.

Her opponents for the Democratic nomination embody Navy SEAL Matt Maasdam, Michigan State College training professor Josh Cowen and local weather activist William Lawrence.
