LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – A Mid-Michigan native is sharing the years-long struggle for Xicano research at Michigan State College with a documentary.
Ernesto Todd Mireles is taking his documentary, ‘Conflict of the Flea: Battle for Xicano Research,’ on tour and his first cease was his hometown of Lansing.
The movie takes folks by means of the Hispanic and Latino peoples’ struggle for neighborhood recognition within the Nineties amid racism, and the way that influenced the struggle for Xicano research at MSU, the place Mireles studied.
