Olivet man charged for false accounting license

Olivet man charged for false accounting license

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A person from Olivet is heading to courtroom after being accused of making a false accounting licensing, Michigan Lawyer Normal Dana Nessel introduced Monday.

Joseph Vanator, 30, was arraigned earlier than Choose Reid Felsing within the 56A District Courtroom in Charlotte on one rely of accounting violations, a 5-year felony.

In keeping with Nessel, Vanator as employed at Vanators & Associates, an accounting agency. He’s accused of making a pretend “Certificate/License To Practice Public Accounting” that gave the impression to be issued by the State of Michigan Division of Licensing and regulatory Affairs (LARA).

LARA later referred the case to the Division of Lawyer Normal.

“Issuing certified public accountant licenses helps ensure that residents can trust that those providing financial services have the necessary training and expertise to do so,” Nessel stated.

Vanator is ready to seem in 56A District Courtroom on Nov. 3.
