'It's simply the perfect': MSU hosts annual Secure Halloween occasion

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State College Fraternity and Sorority Life honored a long-standing MSU custom Wednesday night, offering the group with a protected trick-or-treating expertise.

The occasion befell on the IM West Subject. Organizers provided themed cubicles, video games, sweet, bounce home, and an opportunity to win prizes.

For these concerned, the occasion is about security.

“The safety aspect comes to ensure that the children of East Lansing get a safe Halloween where they’re able to trick or treat and interact with Michigan State students as well,” stated Nikita Patel, Director of Secure Halloween.

Hayley Jones-Harb is a coordinator for Sorority and Fraternity Life at MSU and says she enjoys organizing the occasion every year.

“It’s just the best. This is my favorite event that we do every single year and every year. Like, it just brings so much joy to so many people in the community,” stated Jones-Harb. “And it’s just great to see the impact on my students.”
