Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer has introduced he’ll resign within the coming days after talks on forming a brand new authorities failed for a second time.

He claimed “destructive forces” within the Social Democratic Occasion had “gained the upper hand” and that the Individuals’s Occasion wouldn’t signal on to a programme that’s reportedly towards financial competitiveness.

Social Democratic Occasion chief Andreas Babler mentioned he regretted the choice by the Individuals’s Occasion to finish the negotiations, including: “This is not a good decision for our country.”
