BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) — A bond proposal of greater than $26 million will probably be on the Bathtub Twp. poll this August to enhance Bathtub Neighborhood Colleges’ infrastructure, officers say.

It is a bond renewal, and officers say it will not improve tax charges if it passes.

Christine McCallister, a guardian whose children go to Bathtub Neighborhood Colleges, stated she’s heard firsthand about points within the district’s buildings.

“They’ve said it is hot, certain areas of the school are very cold,” she advised 6 Information. “It’s not a new building, so you’re gonna run into that problem, but I think it should be improved as much as it can be improved.”

The college’s web site exhibits that each one three of the district’s faculties would obtain a brand new safety lockdown system, new consuming fountains and up to date roofs.

Bathtub Superintendent Chris Hodges says the district would use the bond to take out a $26.8 million mortgage and would pay the mortgage again with property taxes.

“I turned around the corner in the elementary school, and there were three big trash cans collecting water that was leaking through the roof,” Hodges stated. “I think our kids deserve to learn in a better environment than that.”

Bathtub’s web site additionally exhibits that the elementary faculty would get new playground tools and lockers, along with different upgrades.
