Not less than two folks have died and greater than 30 are injured after a bridge collapsed in India, officers have stated.

Maharashtra’s chief minister Devendra Fadnavis added that various folks have been swept away after the bridge – over the Indrayani river within the western Indian metropolis of Pune – collapsed on Sunday.

He added on social media that “some people got swept away, so a search operation is underway on a war footing to find them”.

The minister stated six folks have been rescued whereas 32 have been injured, with six in a important situation, and that the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Pressure had been deployed, with different businesses directed to stay on excessive alert.

It comes 4 days after an Air India flight crashed lower than a minute after taking off from Ahmedabad airport in northwestern India, killing a minimum of 270 folks.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which was carrying 53 Britons, crashed right into a docs’ hostel in a residential space moments after taking off.

And earlier on Sunday, a helicopter carrying Hindu pilgrims crashed in a forested space a number of miles from the Kedarnath pilgrimage route, killing seven folks on board.
