British girl died after alleged home violence incident at Sydney residence

Police are investigating the “suspicious death” of a British girl following an alleged home violence incident at her residence in Sydney.

Advertising and marketing government Claire Austin, 38, crashed by way of a glass door at her condominium in Randwick, a suburb within the east of the town, on Saturday morning, in accordance with native media.

Police mentioned she was discovered critically injured with a “severe laceration” to her arm and died in hospital on Tuesday.

Officers spoke to a 44-year-old man, identified to the lady, on the scene who was launched with out cost, in accordance with the New South Wales drive.

No arrests have been made and police are investigating how Ms Austin, who was reportedly born in Britain however had lived in Australia for the previous decade, was injured.

In an interview with the Australian Day by day Telegraph, NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Peter Thurtell mentioned the incident was “an absolute tragedy and the loss of another precious life”.

“People have to stop dying in situations of domestic violence,” he mentioned.

“Whether it’s women or men, and most of the time it is women who die in DV situations, it is tragic and it has to end.”

NSW Premier Chris Minns described studies of Ms Austin’s demise as “disturbing”, in accordance with quotes reported within the Sydney Morning Herald.

“I feel so terribly sorry for that woman and her family,” he mentioned.

“I can just imagine how devastated they are today. It’s another example of somebody dying, allegedly at the hands of domestic violence.

“I need the general public to be assured that there is a job drive that is been arrange by NSW Police. They’re taking it extremely critically and the main focus will likely be justice for that girl and her household.”
