Lauren Turner, a second-year participant on the Cal State Fullerton girls’s soccer staff, has died practically six weeks after she and a teammate had been hit by a field truck whereas driving electrical scooters on a highway close to campus. She was 19.

“As her family, we always knew the goodness and light that shone within her, but to hear others speak of it affirms what a true blessing she was to everyone who knew her.”

Lauren Turner was remembered by her Cal State Fullerton teammates as “the funniest, most charismatic, and loving teammate you could ever ask for.”

Turner and her Titans teammate Ashlyn Gwynn had been driving electrical scooters to a males’s soccer recreation round 7 p.m. Sept. 27 after they had been struck by a field truck on Related Street close to Yorba Linda Blvd., in line with the Fullerton Police Division.

First responders took the 2, who weren’t carrying helmets, to a neighborhood trauma middle. Alcohol and medicines didn’t seem like an element within the accident, the division mentioned.
