CATA now a delegated secure place for youth in disaster

CATA now a delegated secure place for youth in disaster

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Capital Space Transportation Authority is now licensed to function Secure Place, a nationwide outreach and prevention program for weak youth. Now, CATA automobiles and amenities will function secure locations for folks underneath the age of 18 who’re experiencing disaster.

CATA Secure Place places:

All CATA Autos

Downtown CATA Transportation Heart (420 S. Grand Avenue, Lansing, MI 48933)

Capital Space Multimodal Gateway (1240 S. Harrison Highway, East Lansing, MI 48823)

Youths in disaster can board a CATA car freed from cost and obtain rapid help from CATA staff or safety guards by asking for a “Safe Place.” CATA will cooperate with native legislation enforcement and neighborhood sources to help these in want—and report any incidents to the Nationwide Secure Place Community.

“As a Safe Place partner, CATA is committed to providing critical support for youths experiencing abuse, neglect, violence, bullying, trafficking or stalking,” stated CATA CEO Bradley T. Funkhouser. “The success of this initiative relies on our community partners. Together, we will ensure that no young person is left without access to the vital resources they need.”  

CATA is the one licensed Secure Place companion in Michigan.
