A child has died after a ship carrying migrants bumped into difficulties within the Channel, French authorities have mentioned.
A complete of 65 individuals had been rescued after the migrant boat obtained into problem off the coast of Wissant in northern France on Thursday night.
The boat was discovered to be closely loaded with individuals and a few migrants had been within the water when the rescue workforce arrived, the maritime prefect of the Channel and the North Sea mentioned.
A French navy patrol boat and a helicopter had been used within the restoration operation.
