LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Two Sterling Heights cops have been charged with misconduct and felony assault concerning a February arrest.
In keeping with a launch from the Michigan Lawyer Normal, 31-year-old James Sribniak and 29-year-old Jack Currie participated in arresting a home violence suspect from Roseville on Feb. 25 after they fled a site visitors cease.
Whereas the suspect was on the bottom and surrounded by officers, and after having been tased twice, Currie allegedly instructed Sribniak to deploy his K9 to chew the suspect. Sribniak instructed the K9 to chew the suspect, and the K9 then bit the suspect on the again of their proper hip.
Each officers have been charged with one rely of Misconduct in Workplace, a five-year felony, and Felonius Assault, a four-year felony.
Sribniak and Currie haven’t but been arraigned, and future courtroom dates haven’t but been set.
