Couple ‘compelled’ to take a seat subsequent to useless physique for hours on Qatar Airways flight

A pair have mentioned they have been compelled to take a seat subsequent to a useless physique for 4 hours on a Qatar Airways flight.

Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin have been travelling from Melbourne to Doha, en path to Italy, when a girl walked out the bathroom and collapsed close to their row about 10 hours into the journey.

“Unfortunately the lady couldn’t be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch,” Mr Ring informed Australia’s A Present Affair programme.

He added: “They tried to wheel her up towards business class, but she was quite a large lady and they couldn’t get her through the aisle.”

The pair, who have been the one ones in a row of 4, mentioned flight attendants put the lady in one of many spare seats for the remaining 4 hours of the flight.

Mr Ring informed Australian media: “They said, ‘Can you move over please?’ and I just said, ‘Yes no problem’.

“Then they positioned the girl within the chair I used to be in.”

He mentioned there have been a couple of spare seats close by however claimed crew did not supply to maneuver them.

Mr Ring additionally mentioned he was informed to remain put whereas medical groups eliminated blankets masking the lady after they landed, and that they have been supplied no help.

“We apologise for any inconvenience or distress this incident may have caused, and are in the process of contacting passengers in line with our policies and procedures.”
